NICHOL, David (Dave)
It is with heavy hearts and loving memory that we announce the passing of Dave Nichol, a devoted Christian, cherished husband, loving father and proud papa, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81 on March 27, 2025 after a three-year battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Born on July 21, 1943, Dave lived a life full of love, laughter, and memorable moments that touched the lives of all who knew him. As a husband, Dave was the rock and companion that his beloved wife Lynda cherished every day of their marriage. Together, they built a home filled with love, warmth, and a beautiful legacy of family.
As a father, Dave was everything to his daughters, Shelly and Cindy. He was a constant source of support, guidance, and humor, always there when they needed him. Whether offering advice, sharing a quiet moment, building a deck, finishing a basement, or lending a hand whenever he could, Dave’s unwavering love for his girls was evident in everything he did. He was their rock, their inspiration, their compass and he will live on through the countless memories and stories they share of him.
As a papa, Dave’s warmth and affection for his grandsons, Dean and Cole, knew no bounds. His teasing and playful spirit were a constant source of laughter, as he knew how to turn every moment into a memorable story, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Dave’s countless extended family and friends will continue to take comfort in knowing that his spirit of fun, kindness, and teasing nature will live on in every story we share, every smile we share, and every laugh we have in his honor.
Predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Margaret Nichol, survived by his beloved wife with whom he shared 60 years of marriage, laughter and devotion, Lynda (nee Weston), daughters Shelly (Brad) Batten, Cindy Nichol (David), grandsons Dean and Cole Williams.
