Peacefully at home, Orillia, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 71 years. Ernie Beloved husband of Lynda Lee (nee Leef). Loving father of Mary-Ann Robert (Rob Moore) of Barrie and Scott Robert (Heather) of Thornton. Cherished grandfather of Rachel & Jack Henson and Sam & Ben Robert. Ernie is predeceased by his parents John & Eileen Robert. Dear brother of Phillip Robert ( Cheryl), David Robert (Bonnie), Leonard Robert (Karen), Denise Robert all of Orillia, Pauline Robert of Toronto, Jean McAlear of Orillia and Rene Robert (Predeceased). He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and their families. Ernie is survived by his mother-in-law Mary Windover and by his sister and brothers-in-law; Marilyn Shelswell (Bill), Robert Leef (Elizabeth), Tony Leef, Sherry Leef, Ron Leef (Nancy) and Kent Leef (Nancy). After retirement Ernie devoted much of his energies to his beautiful garden in the summer and woodworking in the winter months. One of Ernie's greatest enjoyments was spending time with his grandchildren. Ernie & Lynda had many wonderful trips and also celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in October 2024 with family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Daniel for his compassionate care & support. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hawke Ridge Golf & Country Club, 1151 Hurlwood Lane, Severn, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1 - 4 pm.
