Gary Ann Gray

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gary Ann Gray during the recent ice storm on Saturday evening.

Born on March 15, 1936, Gary was the beloved daughter of Martha and Robert Trail Gray II, Canadian Golf Pro at Scarborough Golf Club. She was a proud sister to her brother Robert Trail Gray III and was cherished by her sister Susan Meyer Allan.

Aunt Gary was adored by her nieces Carly, Tiffany, and Stacey, and her nephews Robert, Richard, Jimmy Dean, and Fox. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and dear friends Nancy, Alex, George, Debbie, Eric, Kaiiwa, Lisa, Alesia, Frank, Maria and many more lives were forever enriched by her spirit.

Gary lived a life full of grace, independence, and adventure. She spent over five remarkable decades in Kona, Hawaii, a place she truly called home. A passionate traveler and a radiant soul, Gary inspired those around her with her warmth, kindness, and wisdom.

She was also proud of her heritage as the great-great-granddaughter of Zachary Taylor, the 12th President of the United States — a legacy that echoed her own strength and resilience.

A special thank you to Spencer House in Orillia, Ontario, Canada for enriching Auntie Gary’s life — her last four years were amazing thanks to your care and love.
