George Leonard Biss

After the most amazing life lived, it is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to our George. Husband. Dad. Grandpa. Great Grandpa. Son. Brother. Friend. One-of-a-kind man. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Virginia “Ginny” (McConvey) Biss for over 62 years, George was the best Dad ever to Carol Anne (the late Michel) Jeanson and Greg (Deirdre) Biss, awesome Grandpa to Lisa Simmons (Jay Appell) and Geoffery (Christa Clahane) Biss, and proud Great Grandpa to Audrey Appell and Everett George Biss. George brought laughter and wisdom to everyone who knew him. A sought-after professional photographer throughout his long Toronto career, George continued to bring magic and creativity to his painting, poetry and collecting. Inspired by his view of Lake Couchiching, love of family and friends, almost 100 years of memories and adventures, and his loving friendship with Stella Elliott, Dad was happy, in charge and 100% George right up to his final hours. We are so fortunate to have loved and been loved by George, our true inspiration for living life to its fullest. A life where 98.5 years were not nearly enough! But we all know, George is on to the next great adventure. Ginny at his side. Love you Dad.
