Jordan Stanley

It is with great sadness that the family of Jordan Stanley announce his passing on January 4, 2025 at the age of 28, while at home with his family. Jordan was the favorite son of Robin Ellis (Jeff Craig) and Rick Stanley. Number one "little" big brother to Taylor Stanley and Brooklyn Ellis, step-brother to Liam Perry, grandson of Roland Clarke (Joanne Tustin), Linda Ranson and Laurie Stanley. A loved nephew of many but he had a special bond with his Auntie April Clarke (Jason Fawcett) & Uncle Pig/Shawne Clarke (Tatum Haslem) and Godmother Aunt Amy Chatten. He was a cousin to many in a very large family and a friend to many in his community. He was loved by all for his quiet and kind nature. He was never the loudest in the room but he always had the biggest heart.

Jordan had a natural-born talent for all of his creative endeavors. He had an incredible gift for drawing and could take apart and rebuild any broken-down bike, scooter or miscellaneous combination of both! His favorite source of parts was his sister's bikes! Jordan was born on wheels! As a child, he instinctively took to skateboarding and BMX which then transitioned into living out his passion in competitive scootering. Jordan was talented enough to have the honor, and privilege of joining the QC Scooters Family and Trynyty Pro Team out of Montreal and rode with them until illness overtook him in 2019. The years spent with his QC family were often referred to as the best of his life. Over the past few days, the messages that Jordan's family has received from the scooter community around the world, expressing their appreciation for his innovations and influences on their sport, have left the family humbled and deeply appreciative of their love and respect for Jordan and his talent.

Jordan will always be remembered for his appreciation of, and ability to keep life simple. He loved his family, his cat Buddy and his scooter family. He didn't need much more to keep him happy or make him feel fulfilled. He was a shining light in so many lives that will continue to glow within the memories he created, the videos he shared and love he gave to so many.

A celebration of Jordan's life will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia on Saturday, January 11th, with a time of visitation from 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Jordan was not a suit guy and always preferred vintage over flashy style. The family requests casual attire such as what you would wear if you were coming to see Jordan and sit for a good visit. At the end of the day, that is what we are all going to be doing after all.
