It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our Uncle Kenny, on Saturday January 18th, peacefully at Champlain Manor, in Orillia, ON with both nieces, Valerie and Susan at his bedside.

Kenneth was born in Toronto, ON on May 20th, 1925 to Violet Blanche Cropsey Jaegge and Walter Otto Jaegge (both predeceased). Kenneth is predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Marie Jaegge Fraser, (James, deceased) and his brother, Robert Duane Jaegge (Maureen, deceased).  Kenneth is survived by nieces Susan Ann Fraser Herbert (Chuck) of Cumberland Beach, ON, Valerie Joan Jaegge Lynch (Jeff) of Texas, USA, and nephew Robert Thomas Jaegge (Yuvette) of Oregon, USA.

Kenneth is survived by great nephews James Kenneth Clausner (Samantha) of Beeton, ON, Joel Robert Clausner (Jessica) of Cochrane, ON, Darryl Jon Herbert (Valerie) of Severn, ON, and great niece, Karen Lynne Herbert John of Cumberland Beach, ON.

In addition, Kenneth is survived by great, great nieces and nephews, Emily and Melissa Clausner, Eathen and Nathaniel John, Jaxxen and Jayden Clausner, and Emberleigh Herbert.

Kenneth is survived by first cousins Dorothy Cropsey Rugen (George) and Caroline Cropsey Fremer (Richard, deceased) and their children in Florida, and NYC, USA.

Kenneth is survived by his extended family in Texas, USA, Maddie Lynch Brunner (Bart), and their children, William and Thomas, Caitlin Lynch, Kerri (Chris) and their daughter, Gracie Voelker.

We are most grateful to friends, Gwen and Larry Scott and Brenda Wallace Pitnoczko, who have supported us through Kenneth's journey in these latter years of his life. To Kenneth's friends in Quebec, John, Roger, Doug and Nicole, and friends Paul and Michael in the USA who have sent cards, made phone calls etc. over the years, thanks for keeping in touch and checking in on Ken.

Our thanks is also extended to Joann Stravelakis, NJ, USA and John Livanos, deceased 2024 (Josette), NYC, USA, niece and nephew of the late James Nikitas who have kept in touch with Kenneth over the years as well.

Kenneth served during WWII, in the US Navy Medical Core out of New York Harbour. He lived and worked in the City of New York as a Lab Technician (his chosen field of study from NYU was in Cytology). Ken worked in many clinics throughout the City of New York, his service was 30 plus years for the City of New York. He retired and returned to Canada to live in Gatineau Quebec, with his lifelong companion Jimmy in 1985. They were residents of Quebec until Jimmy's death in August 2020.

Kenneth will be sadly missed by our dogs Miss Riley and Murphy. They brought him so much love and joy, they are family and needed to be mentioned as they played such a intricate role in Kenneth's life.

Special thanks extended to all the staff at Champlain Manor in Orillia, where Kenneth resided for the past two plus years. From administrative personnel Jackie, Alex, Jenna, Jen, Annette and all front desk personnel, to the nursing staff, to all the attendants and PSW's who cared for Ken daily, in particular Kara-Lee, Nadine, Victoria, Emmanuel and Valerie, to all the housekeeping staff, to the maintenance staff, Alex and to all the dietary aides, we thank every single one of you most sincerely.

There is praise and only grateful hearts when it comes to thanking those who filled Ken's days at Champlain with the richness of music 🎶. A heart felt thank you to Ken's "little Miss Red shoes”, Meredith, Activities Coordinator, and to Jake and Jen for their contribution to Ken's crafts and musical activities. Knowing Ken was happy, gave his family peace of mind as he was living his daily life with the "sound of music" in it 🎶

To residents who befriended Ken (and there are too many to mention, you know who you are) and our family, we thank you for your love and support. We know you will all miss "your singer boy" as Ken was fondly referred to, but now Ken will sing with the Angels. To ALL the entertainers at Champlain who over the past 2 years brought us joy, in particular, Darryl, Gary, Karen, Chris, and Sharon and many more, our sincere thanks is extended to all the entertainers.

To the nursing staff at Champlain, Katherine, Jenn and Attendants/PSW Kara-Lee and Emmanuel, who were with Valerie and Susan as Kenneth drew his final breath, thank you for your kindness and support. God is good in many ways to allow us to prepare Uncle Kenny on his journey home, and ever so grateful Valerie made it here to Orillia, all the way from Texas to bid farewell to our beloved uncle.

To Rev. Fr. Prasanth George, CMI, Pastor of the Guardian Angels Catholic church, thank you for your support and prayers. Our faith was paramount in assisting us to prepare Kenneth for his final journey HOME.

Thank you, Dr. Karim Dharssi, Family Physician, for taking care of our Uncle Ken, since moving to Ontario.

Thank you from the family is also extended to Nicole Johnstone and the staff of Mundell's Funeral Home. Their professional guidance, personal support and compassion through our time of grief is much appreciated.

Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Wednesday evening, from 7 - 9 PM.
