Marie Isobel Murray

It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Marie Murray on Sunday November 17, 2024, in Orillia, Ontario. Beloved wife of Patrick Murphy (predeceased). Devoted mother to Jed Murray and Jeff (Tracy) Murray. Dear sisiter to Wayne Hawke and sister-in-law Betty-anne Hawke. Proud grandmother of Gavin (Hailey) Murray, Ethan Murray, Rachel Morris (predeceased) Victoria Morris; and great-grandmother to Samuel Washington and Hendrix Murray. Marie will be dearly misses by her nieces and nephews Adam Hawke, Katie Hawke and Amy (Jeremy) Smith, Tammy (Bill) Ruddell and Amy Wood, as well as her many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Ruby Hawke and her sibling Glen (Mary) Hawke.

Marie played a key role in the Ramona Agricultural Society and was very much involved since 1987, and often enjoyed spending time up at Camp Hillbilly with family and friends. Marie looked forward to the social time of dart night at Lake ST George Hall. She will be dearly missed; Marie touched the lives of many people.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 27 at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Mundell Funeral Home on Thursday, November 28 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Saint Paul’s Cemetery, 2959 Grass Lake Line at Agnew Rd. All are welcome to the Ramona Hall, 2212 Fairgrounds Rd, Washago, following the cemetery service for a reception.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Ramona Agricultural Society. This was Marie's second home and held a very special place in her heart.
