Patrick Joseph Murphy

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Patrick Murphy on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Mariposa House Hospice. Beloved husband to Marie Murray (nee Hawke). Pat leaves behind his son James (Mattea), his brother Mike (Susan), and his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by Jed Murray, and Jeff (Tracy) Murray, his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Bernadette (nee Cooper), his siblings Ed (Cherran, surviving), Mary (Guy Healy), and Anne.

Pat was an avid reader with a great passion for music, and a skilled guitarist. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will take place at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, on Thursday, March 14 from 5:00-8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Guardian Angel’s Church, 115 West Street North, Orillia, at 1:30pm, on Friday, March 15. Family and friends are invited back to Mundell Funeral Home for a Reception after the Mass. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Mariposa House Hospice. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Mariposa for all their care and support during this difficult time.
