Robert "Bob" Boorman

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert Boorman on December 1, 2024, at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia. Loving husband to Betty (nee Cadieux) for 69 years. Devoted father to Ron Boorman, Barb Vellinga, Brian Boorman, Jerry (Heather) Boorman, and Valerie Boorman. Dear grandfather of Andrew (Megan), Amy (Mike) McDevitt, Steven Vellinga, Courtney (Logan), Jeremy (Alyssa) and Lucas. Proud great-grandfather Alexander, Freddie, Ella, Charley, Oliver, Mylah and Maxwell. Predeceased by parents George and Mary Boorman, and his two brothers and sisters. He will be dearly misses by his many niece, nephews, extended family, and friends. 

Known to most as Bob, he was a proud and loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #34, Orillia, and the Army Navy Air Force Club #400. Bob also served valiantly during the Korean War. He leaves behind a strong legacy and presence that will be greatly missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia. Cremation to take place. A Memorial Service will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or Sunnybrook Hospital in Bob's memory.
