DAWSON, Ruby, Delores

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home, on Tuesday, Dec. 8, in her 82nd year.

Ruby Dawson, of Orillia, was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Carl, who passed away in 1996; the two were married in 1956 and enjoyed ‘living on love’ for 40 years.

Ruby was the much loved mother of Brian, Carl (Mary), Nancy, Allen and Dave and will be sadly missed by her ‘bonus daughter,’ Christine.

Loving and proud grandma of Shannon (Kyle) and Jordan (Elysia), Nevaeh and Zayden, Connor, Adrian and Alicia.

Sister of Verna (predeceased), Bud (predeceased), Lyle (predeceased), Gerald, Judy and Dennis (predeceased). She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Wava Smith.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Doan and all the other nurses and staff for their professional and compassionate care while she was at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. In addition, thanks to the nurses of the Bayshore Palliative team, Dr. Perrigo and his staff and to all those who supported her.

A private grave-side ceremony is planned with arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home.
